Formal recognition
Verkotan has been formally recognized as a wireless testing laboratory to perform equipment testing in Canada under the terms of Phase I of the APEC TEL Mutual Recognition Arrangement for the following standards:
- RSS-102 (Specific Absorption Rate)
- RSS-102 (RF Exposure)
- RSS-102 (Nerve Stimulation)
Starting January 9th, 2019, Verkotan may operate as a recognized testing laboratory and has the capability to test according to the standards listed above.
“The Radio communication Act requires that anyone wishing to manufacture, import, distribute, lease, sell, or use radio equipment in Canada, must ensure that devices are tested and certified to meet applicable technical standards. This requirement applies to all radio communication devices, whether locally manufactured or imported for use in Canada.”
