NATO’s DIANA-project approved for Finland

NATO’s DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) project will be starting two cutting edge research facilities in Finland. One will be set up in Oulu at the university and the other at VTT in Espoo. Oulu’s flagship research facility will focus on 6G applications and offer companies the chance to test 6G technology. Espoo’s facility on the other hand will be focusing on cybersecure communications as well as quantum- and space technologies.

Finland’s strong position, especially with developing next-generation communication- and quantumtechnologies, is key in attracting talent and operators in the industry to Finland.

Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen

This new flagship facility will improve Oulu’s standing as a frontrunner in 6G technology, and Finland as a whole. Verkotan will be working closely with this new facility and the University of Oulu. We are extremely proud to be a part of history in the making.
